Sealed since 1945… Until now!

We are incredibly excited to announce that we have opened up a new room within the bunker, one that has remained closed since the end of WWII, and still holds so many secrets to this day.

Though the origin of this room is still unknown to us, blueprints published on December 31st 1942, lists the room as RN SSO.

Newspaper clippings link the possibility that Jocelyn Weale, a member of the Wrens (Women’s Royal Naval Service) potentially worked in this room carrying out secretarial work for the Commander in Chief

After months of restoration, we are thrilled to finally open this room to the public, and hope that you enjoy continuing to learn about the hidden history right below Liverpool’s streets.
